Description
A water-based stain for suitable exterior wood projects. Stain colors are sold in quarts.
Application guide
Drying times assume about 70°F and 50% humidity. Allow longer in cool or humid conditions, and follow the current can label.
Prepare & apply
Remove existing finishes, prepare bare wood and remove dust. Stir thoroughly. Apply generously to one complete, manageable section, maintain a wet edge and wipe excess with the grain. Usually one coat is enough; use no more than two.
Drying & next coat
Allow at least 2 hours before Exterior 450 clear, and longer after two stain coats or in cool or humid weather. After the clear-coat system is complete, wait at least 5 days before outdoor weather exposure.
Compatibility & important tips
Protect with three coats of Exterior 450 Topcoat. Not for decks or tabletops directly exposed to sun and rain. Test the stain and clear together on your actual wood.
