Description
An interior water-based primer that helps control stain and tannin bleed beneath white or light paint.
Application guide
Drying times assume about 70°F and 50% humidity. Allow longer in cool or humid conditions, and follow the current can label.
Prepare & apply
Clean and scuff existing finishes; prepare bare wood or MDF as directed. Apply two coats by synthetic or foam brush, roller or spray. Lightly sand dry coats with 220–320 grit. Do not use steel wool, tint the primer or mix it with paint or stain.
Drying & next coat
On bare wood, allow at least 2 hours between coats and 6 hours before water-based paint. Over existing finishes, allow at least 4 hours between coats and 12 hours before paint. Overnight drying before painting is a useful conservative schedule.
Compatibility & important tips
Finish with a compatible water-based paint system. This is not a wood-stain conditioner or an exterior primer. Some knots and severe stains may still bleed; test the complete system first.
